Few days ago we reported on Konami striking an eFootball PES 2020 deal with Bayern München, and now a brand new trailer has revealed that Italian Juventus champions have also entered into a "long-term, exclusive relationship" with the game, followed by the trailer below.
This implies that in console football matches, including the name, crest, and kits, Konami receives exclusive use of the team, so competitor FIFA will not be allowed to include these. This also enabled Konami to scan the star players as well as Cristiano Ronaldo, who last year was the cover player for FIFA 19.
Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director of Brand & Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V., remarked: "Our extensive collaboration with Juventus FC, one of the world's largest teams, is a clear declaration of purpose for eFootball PES 2020 – the only console game you can play as Italian giants.
The Allianz Stadium is also being recreated with all the tiny information in eFootball PES 2020, and like Serge Gnabry, this year's Bosnian goalkeeper Miralem Pjanić is a PES ambassador, also featured on the cover as well as appearing throughout the year in multiple activations.
Giorgio Ricci, Chief Revenue Officer, commented: "We are particularly proud of the partnership that has been signed with Konami. This agreement brings together two global football and entertainment icons, PES and Juventus, for the next three years, and will make it easier for us to identify with our younger fans and increase our appeal to both sport and sport fans." How big is this exclusive agreement for Konami?
